Our Craftsmanship
At Dandyfunk Arts, I specialize in creating exquisite custom wooden ship models for display. Each model is intricately crafted to capture the beauty and detail of the age of sail, ensuring they are not only visually stunning but also historically accurate.
I take great pride in our quality models, displaying traditional 19th century marine craft through expressive renditions. Each model has its own uniqueness by focusing on the details that reflect years at sea and the daily toll of wind and surf.
Restoration Services are offered at the highest level. Every ancestral ship model procured is treasure found, A family heirloom, a past family member's pride and joy, a special gift... whatever the circumstance, I will handle your model with the utmost respect. Each restoration strives to protect the feel and patina of the original model.

Restoration Services
I offer repair and cleaning of ship models that have been found in disrepair. My work is of the highest quality with each restoration maintaining the look and feel of the original model. Call or email to discuss the details of your project. A quote can be given, with the understanding that unexpected issues may arise. If that occurs, I'll contact you with an adjusted quote. Before and after photos are provided during the restoration to document the transformation.

I will feature existing models from start to finish as well as new models being built "In The Shipyard". A short descriptive history plus details of the particular build, will help bring the model to life.

CELEBRATING AMERICA'S 250TH
In celebrating our country's 250th year of Independence, I have created a limited series highlighting three ships in my collection that played instrumental roles in securing America's independence. They are the 1803 Brig USS Syren, 1776 Philadelphia Gunboat, and the 1799 Frigate USS Essex. These ships are featured in the "250th Shipwright Series" Check it out!

This Dutch Class version of the 1635 Eagle Wing was a special commission for the Livingston Center located at the Presbyterian Church in Killinchy, Northern Ireland.

The Earl of Halifax was an armed sloop use in defense of Lake George, NY during the French and Indian War. This scratch built rendition is displayed in the Lake George Battlefield Park and Museum .
