The model was created using period drawings, paintings, journal entries, and contemporary new

Petty to produce a scratch-built, plank-on-frame scale model of the armed sloop EARL OF HALIFAX, constructed at Lake George, New York, in 1758 during the French and Indian War. The model was created using period drawings, paintings, journal entries, and contemporary newspaper descriptions of the vessel. The completed reproduction is a magnificent museum-quality model, superb in detail, and absolutely authentic in every aspect. David A. Petty is a first-rate, highly skilled modeler, who is easy to work with and accommodating to any requests on a project.
